What is Sitecore Helix?

Sitecore Helix is a set of design principles and conventions for organising Sitecore solutions. It groups code into layers, called Foundation, Feature and Project, with clear rules on how they depend on each other.

The aim is a solution that is easier to understand, test and change. Teams can add or replace a feature without touching unrelated parts of the codebase.

Helix is widely used on larger Sitecore projects where several developers work in parallel.
