What is Sitecore Experience Editor?

The Sitecore Experience Editor is the in-page editing tool in Sitecore XP and XM. Authors browse the site and edit content directly on the page, with a view close to the live result.

They can change text, swap images, add components and preview changes. It is designed so marketers can update pages without deep technical knowledge.

In XM Cloud and SitecoreAI, the equivalent visual editing experience is Sitecore Pages.
