Kogifi supported E-ON Polska in a 9+ month Sitecore implementation that enabled the rebranding from innogy Polska to E-ON Polska, introduced a Helix-based Sitecore architecture and upgraded the “my E-ON” portal - delivering a secure, more productive platform to better serve more than 1 million customers.

Challange

E-ON Polska needed to move quickly and safely from the innogy identity to the E-ON brand while modernising its customer portal and internal practices. Key challenges were:

  • Transfer of knowledge across business and technical teams to ensure continuity after the rebrand.
  • Enabling business teams to use digital marketing tools effectively.
  • Equipping technology architects with the right Sitecore architecture and implementation approach.
  • Rebuilding the “my E-ON” portal to improve productivity, operational efficiency and security for both users and editors.

Our solution

We delivered the project over the course of more than nine months, combining strategic workshops, architecture design and hands-on implementation:

  • Knowledge transfer & workshops — ran workshops for business teams (Digital Marketing) and for technology/architecture teams to align capabilities and expectations before implementation.
  • Helix Sitecore Architecture — designed and implemented a transparent, maintainable Helix architecture to future-proof the platform and simplify ongoing development.
  • Portal upgrade — redeveloped and secured the “my E-ON” portal on Sitecore to improve editorial efficiency, performance and the overall user experience.
  • Rebranding & migration — coordinated the content and platform changes required to move from innogy Polska to E-ON Polska with minimal disruption.

Outcome

Below are the measurable business and technical results achieved following the rebrand and portal upgrade.

  • Successful completion of the rebranding and migration at the turn of 2021/2022 using the Sitecore CMS platform.
  • A modern, Helix-based Sitecore implementation that supports E-ON’s new digital strategy and helps the organisation better identify and manage the needs of more than 1 million customers visiting E-ON group sites.
